I hope everybody has settled in well and the kids are doing great and are making new friends and love being back at school. I know my daughter is exhausted and is begging me to go to bed by Thursday night.
I’m pleased to say we had a great turnout for the general meeting held last Friday with lots of new faces, new parents, existing members and exiting members. I’d like to say a special thanks to our previous President Katerina Gerace for all her effort, hard work and dedication. Thank you also to previous committee members Tania Maitre, Danelle Schaeffer and Yvonne Caffieri for all your help.
I would like to introduce the new P&C committee for 2019 being
President ~ Victoria Bovenkerk
Vice President ~ Biljana Necovski
Treasurer ~ Amanda Hand
Secretary ~ Nikki Alyse
We look forward to an exciting year with a new committee, new members and to all of those who came, showed support and signed up to be part of our P&C, thank you.
We will be running a chocolate raffle this term to be drawn in Week 10. We would appreciate any donations of chocolate or Easter themed goodies (nothing with nuts please) to raffle off. The more donations we get, the more prizes we can provide which means more chances of winning! Raffle tickets will be sent home later on in the term.
Dress up Day – ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’
We are having a dress up day on Friday 5th of April and the theme is ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’
Children come dressed up as if they are going to work. Maybe you want to be a policeman, a vet or even a school teacher? Please bring a gold coin donation which will be collected on the day. You can go to as much effort or little as you like and Op Shops are always a good place to start. Have fun getting the costume ready!
Without active parents to form the new P&C committee we won’t be able to operate and that means we won’t be able to provide extra funding to the school or organise any fun events for the children. It only takes one or two hours per term, so please, if you’re interested and want to know more about the P&C or help out, come along to our meeting on Friday 22 March 9.45 at the undercover area at West Morley (after the assembly).
Second hand uniforms are available. A rack is set up at the admin at West Morley where you will find uniforms in a large range of sizes, both summer and winter. Uniforms are only a gold coin donation, payable to admin. You can donate your used items as your child grows out of them.
